    Founded in 2005, Bear Industrial Supply & Manufacturing (BearISM) was created to fill a void in the environmental, water well, and geotechnical drilling industry's need for a responsive, local manufacturer and supplier of quality well products and timely machine shop services. BearISM is the only local manufacturer in the Southern California region focused on manufacturing and machining PVC well casings, screens, and made-to-order parts for the environmental, water well, and geotechnical drilling industries.

    Building on the success and the industry's wide acceptance and adoption of their PVC well casings, screens and PVC accessory product lines, Bear Industrial has extended the product offering to include machining and custom manufacturing services for low carbon steel and stainless steel pipe products and other key materials used in the industry.

    BearISM identified a similar void in the oil and gas drilling industry.  In 2006, the "Oil & Gas Products and Services" (O&G) division was created specifically to accommodate the industry's need for a round-the-clock, highly responsive and quality driven company dedicated to the oil country industry. The O&G division caters to the industry's demand for a capable and reliable 24/7/365 machine shop and provides consultation and engineering design services of specialized and custom downhole tools.

    The company’s 17,000 sq. ft facility is located in Long Beach, California. The production/shop floor comprises of two automated and two manual slotting/screening machines, two CNC and three manual lathes, milling, welding, and painting stations. The recent acquisition of the 14 inch bore Yuasa oil country lathe allows the company to distinguish itself as the only local company with a purposely built large bore lathe dedicated to service the oil and gas industry.
